i have decided that "abigail" and "abigail touched" will be limited editions...only 60 ish left...going to focus on creating book three...so keep in mind the only way to touch "abigail touched" when she is gone will be to own her :)

she lifts up her pen…
opens her hand…fingers stretched…reaching toward the unknown…
palm pushing upward…exposing the vulnerability of her openness…
places the pen to her skin…
cursive letters connecting as the words join without spaces…
meaning linked by fine lines blotting…
“I feel you”…read as the pen pushes its point into her skin…
“I see you”…as the ink bleeds through her pores…
“I hear you”…as the sound of the words tap as they cover her nails…
under the faucet she places her hand…
warm water carries the words through her fingers…
she places her second hand in a cuplike design as she catches the liquid from under her skin…
places the skin covered cup to her mouth…

words dripping from her lips …as she drinks from the written words of her heart…

being raised a "give back" girl...i have decided that i will give back $5 for every book sold (not including books sold through bookstores) from now until Valentine's Day 2010...a donation will be made on Valentine's Day to Unicef...

abby bernal was born into a family whose mother taught her to imagine...whose father taught her about the value in effort...and whose brother taught her to listen...she graduated with a bachelors of science degree in psychology and earned a masters degree in clinical social work...she has built a private practice that she describes as a gift...“as i am privileged to watch people explore honesty in my presence”...

as a native floridian abby remains in florida with her husband and two beautiful sons...she hopes her writings can touch others in a way that causes them to start “dreaming in the daytime”...

about the books poses a question that is answered best by understanding the process…my poetry is written from a place somewhere within me that i have not yet labeled…most of my writings wake me in the night…i may go to sleep after a stimulating story... a life experience.. an observation... or an interesting song and begin to think about it as i rest…when i wake i usually have a feeling that is followed by an image…the words flow out like liquid and when i am done i usually put down my pad…wait awhile… then read the poem back to try and figure out the meaning…
so… what my poems are about… is a collection of thoughts and images that my mind is not willing to let rest…
